Dear friends and family,
When things around us seem uncertain, it’s our jobs as educators, caregivers, and parents, to get creative and give our loved ones a sense of comfort and stability.
We are all missing each other, our normal social life, daily rituals, and activities, El Tutor Coach is here to support you and your loved ones with some ideas to make your day a little sunnier.
Start the day off with quality time at breakfast.
It’s often the forgotten meal, but what an excellent way to connect with your child or loved ones and create a schedule for the day.
I just recently started since mornings have always been so rushed with my 14-year old son. Breakfast mornings now gives me the perfect excuse of a no iPhone policy without all the virtual stimulus, and now the online school classes.
Plus, I have learned to make pancakes. If you want to learn more, we have amazing chefs for kids and adults willing to teach you amazing meals at home.
Educate: We are all in this together.
For the first time in my life, I have the time to teach myself something new, even if it’s not in the best circumstances.
At El Tutor Coach, we have tutors and coaches who are available to support your educational needs. We have tutors for math & science to essay writing or college prep.
All of our services are now delivered virtually, without you ever having to leave your home.
I’ve always been a runner, but with my son at home, I have looked for more opportunities to work out together and get his body moving.
One of our favorites is taught by renowned fitness trainer Megan Durga Haligowski. Her “Living Room Boot Camp” virtual class offers beginner and advanced poses. Megan has a great way of explaining each exercise and making the 30-minute class go by super fast. Plus my son thought she was tons of fun, and her energy pushed us on for the next few hours.
We will be having one of our popular Bootcamp classes this upcoming Monday, April 6th at 5:30 PM. To register for the class or to learn more about Coach Megan of SutraFit Adventures contact us at email@example.com or register at eltutorcoach.live/register-bootcamp.
Read, play, relax but do it together.
Self-isolation does not mean you have to be distant from your loved ones.
Now is a perfect time to connect with your kids.
Pick up a favorite book you haven’t read in a while, read it together and discuss; play a board game, watch Netflix and create a trivia game about what you just saw, ask your kids to teach you their favorite video game and then play together. Even organizing your closets can be be made into a family activity.
Some of my faves to get you started:
Read: Sense and Sensibility – Jane Austen
Play: Monopoly, Clue or Just Dance (the video game)
Watch: The Good Place (PG14)
What are some of your favorite ways to connect?
